Following a single demo tape in 2023, Inferior present their debut album of black / death metal torment. Out now with tapes coming in June from Headsplit Records.
After some appropriately bestial and uneasy samples we charge into an assault of morbid riffing in the and demonic vocals. The sepulchral atmosphere and raw execution is sadistic and perverse, harkening back to Aussies such as Deströyer 666, Vomitor and Gospel Of The Horns. There is a ruthlessly catchy edge to the music which injects a thrashing rage to the black-death inferno. Within the first minute, this tape evokes evil underground metallic supremacy; taking no prisoners and showing no mercy. The development of the riffs remains primitive but engaging while the drums are utterly barbaric. Thankfully the vocalist has enough fire and fury in his lungs to penetrate the instrumental flagellations, keeping everything ramped up to the max in terms of intensity and hostility. This is real carnage, bound to tape and spat forth from speakers like a hymn of punitive hate.
Possessed, these demonic freaks rage wild into the night with their opus of triumphant degradation of all that is holy. Mixing those Aussie bands I mentioned earlier with touches of Black Witchery, Adorior and other tyrants, this feels like an authentic example of genuinely aggressive and twisted extreme metal. Beating mercilessly, the pounding percussive putrescence and stringed contortions give us a never-ending maelstrom of total obliteration while the incantations of evil snarling vocals are vomited just as restlessly. A truly indomitable performance across the board. Still not convinced? Stick this rabid beast on and feel the strike of the fist!
Eight songs of total bludgeoning mania. Do not listen if you wish to frolic in the woods to some folky, melodic, atmospheric wispiness. This is a barbed wire wrapped abomination of underground perversions that will lacerate anyone who is not born by evil blood. There are a lot of bands who try and do the whole “black-thrash” thing and end up with a decent sounding record but lacking any of the real danger or wildness that makes this style so perfect. Inferior manage to bridge that gap to the olden days with their debut album and capture exactly what this sort of music was supposed to sound like. Violence is the prince of this world!
Wielding the hammer of the antichrist, Inferior pulverise the skulls of modern black metal wimps with their new ferocious album. This tape is a mean spirited and unforgiving beast that sadistically executes a pathway through poser corpses with total animosity and disregard for modern trends. A must listen for fans of the thrashy, deathly and blackened vein of underground heavy metal.
