ALBUM REVIEW: Voidceremony – Entropic Reflections Continuum: Dimensional Unravel

Following three EP’s of acclaimed impact, VOIDCEREMONY are back with their debut full length of feverishly eerie Death Metal. Set for release via 20 Buck Spin on June 26th.

Cavernous and demented riffs with blasting drums convulse into life with bellowed vocals. The visceral intensity of what lies ahead is very clear. Dripping in devilishly dark atmospherics and doomy crawls, the abyssal sounds of Voidceremony are unmistakably creepy. Warped bass accompanies the storm of ferocious guitars and drums to give a furthered spasming quality to the hideously heavy music, truly a remarkable performance from the whole band is shown. This is some utterly devastating material.

Each of the six pieces seem to blend into each other with their cosmic and depraved soundscapes of purely nightmarish Death Metal with smatterings of Black and Doom Metal thrown in for good measure to make for a really vicious listen throughout. Relentless drums and hope-vanquishing guitar and bass back up a vomitous and demonic vocal performance. This will certainly appeal to fans of Dead Congregation, Grave Miasma, Demilich, Ascended Dead and Ritual Necromancy with its superbly gritty, eerie and expansive Death Metal soundscapes, packed with atmospheric brilliance.

There is not a wasted second on this record. Each minute is packed with insanely skilful musical ability that never feels pretentious, only delivering mystical concoctions of morbid darkness. Savagely trembling away with a masterful performance, this music is truly unhinged. Sickeningly twisted and unfathomably otherworldly, this is the kind of Death Metal that spawns something truly unimaginable. Malignant and dissonant in perfect harmony that makes for some of the fiercest tempests of ravenous extremity on each nightmarish vision that is a track of this record.

Ritualistic, distinguished and bold, this is an unforgettably gorgeous slab of utterly mighty Death Metal. Crushingly dark and inhuman, this album has nothing but the best ideas of Voidceremony, strung together to make a masterful conjuration of cosmic horrors with a fantastic display of superhuman musical abilities. The dimensions will certainly unravel on this album as you become one with the experience. Astounding. -9/10
