ALBUM REVIEW: Sölicitör – Spectral Devastation

Sölicitör are here with their debut album of Speed Metal glory. Out now via Gates Of Hell Records. This is going to be a fast one!

Ripping in with fierce riffs, howling vocals and maniacal drums complete with whammy-abusing solos, Sölicitör waste no time delivering total carnage. The hammering drums and vicious riffs are met with piercing vocals to really bring back the sound of the 80s in magnificent, monolithic fashion. Thrashing away, this is certainly going to be an unrelenting album with the sounds of bands like Chastain, Exciter and Razor springing back to life in a monstrously speeding display of pure Metal brilliance.

Anthemic is the best word to describe the totally furious Heavy Metal that Sölicitör play with extreme aggression and a tight performance from the band, assisted by a very 80s analog feel to the production, there is nothing about this record that feels out of place. In fact I would happily be fooled into thinking it was a forgotten gem from the golden days, but no this is an astonishing new piece of mighty, glorious Speed Metal that does not ask, but demands your attention. Intermittent slices of tranquility gorgeously build tension while knowing another rampage of speeding assaults will never be far away.

This is one of those albums you play loud and headbang to, or just don’t bother. Sölicitör take no prisoners. Either join the rampage of be torn asunder. The magnificent vocal range gives some real Judas Priest vibes to the grisly churning riffs and blasting drums, nothing but pure forceful Heavy Metal onslaughts are to be found here. Unforgiving Speed Metal glory is the name of the game and you better believe that Sölicitör deliver. Truly an impeccable piece of Speed Metal grandiosity with a fantastic display of skill from the entire group of maniacs.

Within minutes I knew this album was something special, requiring full focus and taking all whom listen to the promised land of Speed Metal in its purest form. The demonic Speed Metal spirit is unleashed in all its glory here and must never be tamed. I urge anyone who wants to be transported to this hellish realm of excellence to listen to this album right away. -8.5/10
