Feedback draws in atop a blaze of thrashing riffs and malignant vocals and skull-hammering drums that altogether bursts into life with ecstatic ferocity. Once more, the raw approach of this band transports one back to the proto-Death Metal years of old with a precise and yet frantic, urgent and unholy assault of chasm-opening violence. With intensity levels bordering on terrifying, there is no stopping Reversed who prove that their 4-year gap was worth waiting for. While the fickle many may have forgotten their revolting sounds, those of us who truly care about the Metal arts will inevitably recall their profound excellence which has not been lost in their absence. “Maelstrom Juggernaut” is perhaps the most apt autobiographical definition of sound ever, as this 2-piece offering is a blizzard of blasphemous and ruthless extremity that pierces your mortal being and shreds every fibre into dirt. From the demonically tainted rhythmic battery to the face-melting shreds, there is nothing but old school devastation for 9 minutes here, a real tempest of morbidity. Playing at the speed of 1000 armageddons, these maniacs unleash carnage of biblical proportions.
