Danish grinding Death Metal mob SEPTAGE are back with their 2nd EP. Set for release on August 31st via Dark Descent Records, Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Desiccated Productions.
Horrific snarls and dissonant riffs bellow in with a cacophony of suffering and blast beats before dripping riffs oozy forth over pungent, punchy bass breaks. Immediately the viscera spraying forth from the speakers is packed with a mix of menacing grooves in the vein of Autopsy while the Carcass worshipping onslaught is always present in a way that doesn’t feel too derivative. Septage, as we heard on the first EP, have plenty of their own personality while channeling the old school gods of macabre riffs. Here we see that personality developed further into its own disgusting deformities across 4 pieces of riff-laden, reeking sewer Death Metal. Lurking and lumbering across 12 minutes of sonic mayhem, this EP is less a basic cut of Grindcore and more a ridiculously filthy, nasty and fetid slab of monstrous musical malevolence that hits hard, fast and with magnificently grotesque execution.
Maniacally fierce musicianship and gut-curdling ideas with a mix that accentuates rather than buries the barbaric bass lines so that they contort upon a rotten bedding of pulverising beats and vitriolic riffs, squelching with the vocalist in rancid unity, it is clear to see why these newcomers have already garnered a loyal following of zombified Metalheads. Pure wretched, septic Death Metal will cause convulsions, vomiting and head banging in equal measures.
