American death metal decimators Perdition Temple are back with their third full length album of blasphemous extremity. Out via Hells Headbangers on March 27th.
Walls of vicious riffs and blast-beats dive right into a fierce assault of pure malevolence with malignant vocals and a tight production that delivers a hellish inferno of pure destruction. The crushing blend of black and death metal delves into an unholy mixture of cascading sonic punishment and ripping aggression that hits hard with endless blows of pure malice. Over the rhythmic rupturing we get some excellent old school shred work from the guitarist which further reinforces the stoically piercing spearhead of this music and its meaty blend of unrelenting excellence.
The musical skill on this album is unquestionably brilliant but never feels like some obnoxious self-gratification, choosing to display only the demonic forcefulness one would hope to expect of this type of material which thrashes out pure old school extreme metal. This is never a soft or easy listen with the instrumental work decaying any easy-listening ideas one might have. Rivetingly heavy, this record is a slab of decimating death monstrosities that will certainly satisfy those craving a hellish piece of extreme metal mastery in the vein of bands like Morbid Angel or more recently Adorior and Dead Congregation.
Totally ferocious and unwavering, definitely worth a blast that will transport you into purgatorial landscapes. -8/10
